Creativity
Relationship

Creativity flows effortlessly within a revelation of union with God in Christ.

In our union with Him, we are one spirit with the Lord.

The Mirror Translation

There is no separation between you and God. When we realize this, creativity expands within us. We realize that we are a creative expression of divine love within the heart of God and we manifest this reality in the earth.

There is no one exactly like you. Unique in Christ, each of us lives within a ‘grace discovery’, an adventure which broadens our horizons to live and BE whom He calls us to BE.

Recently, while listening to a podcast featuring Richard Rohr, he told an amazing story about a little boy and his new baby brother.

Upon the birth of his brother, a little boy asked his parents if he could talk to him, alone. His parents agreed and then watched the child enter the bedroom, closing the door behind him. Intrigued and amazed, both parents stood outside the door, curious as to what this conversation would be all about. The little boy said this to his infant brother, “Quick, quick. Tell me who made you. Tell me where you came from. I’m beginning to forget.”

Immediately upon hearing this, I was reminded of a profound verse that I know in my heart.

Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.

– Ephesians 1:4

The creator of the universe knew you and formed you before you came to BE within space and time. He created you to BE His creative expression of divine love. But, like this little boy, time passes and we forget who we are and where we came from.

Religious lies enslave us and perpetuate insecurity and doubt within our lives. A shadow of rejection, believing that God is angry with us, looms over our every action. These are lies – each and every one of them.

You are known and have been known, intimately by Father God. There is no mistake when it comes to YOU. You are created in His image and likeness to create within a deep knowing of union and unconditional love.

“We are designed to be quickened with life through spiritual knowledge of the Father’s heart and then for this life overflows in other centered love for others and all creation.”

– C. Baxter Krueger

You are not here to go through the motions of a mundane life, filled with guilt, fear or worry.  In fact, an over arching narrative forms the atmosphere in and through each life in Christ.

Your story’s framework is love, joy and freedom and from that life flows – creatively and most importantly, uniquely and distinctively.

Since every story needs right context, you have one, UNION. The atmosphere in which your story is played out is His-story and that is sealed in divine love. This effortlessly births a creative life, overflowing in other centered love for others and all creation.

A creative life is the divine expression of love flowing from your true self. What exactly is this ‘true self’? Well let me start by saying what your false self is, okay? Your false self moves within time, formed by culture, sex, gender, job, schooling, just to name a few. This is neither good nor bad but is the reality in which you find yourselves. But, even though that may be restrictive, you can rise above and flow within your true self, which is formed in the image and likeness of God.

In your true self, there is wholeness and union in your Creator. It is where eternity flows within your life, to form your distinct, unique identity in Christ.

“Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation!

You know me inside and out, You know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.

Like an open book, You watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.”
